Latest JOLTS Report Shows Declining Job Market Activity
Rates Drop in Multiple Industries, Hiring and Separations Slow
The latest Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) from the Bureau of Labor Statistics reveals a downturn in job market activity in numerous states during March. Job openings levels and rates declined in nine states, with the most significant decreases occurring in manufacturing, construction, and transportation and warehousing. Hires rates also fell in six states, while total separations rates decreased in five states.
